QuikBooth Your events

QuikBooth Terms of Use

1. About these terms

QuikBooth is an online photobooth service for events. In these terms, "we" means the operator of QuikBooth, a "host" is the person responsible for an event, and a "guest" is someone using its booth or album.

The service is intended for events in Australia. These terms explain the conditions for using it. Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled. A reference to that policy does not replace any separate permission needed to photograph someone or share their image.

Hosts must agree to these terms when creating an account and make the terms and Privacy Policy available to guests before they upload photos.

The features, price, usage limits, activation rules and access periods for an offer are shown before you start a trial or make a purchase. Those details form part of your agreement with us. We may change the offers available for future trials or purchases. Changes do not reduce an existing paid entitlement without your agreement. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law are not affected.

Contact support@quikbooth.com for assistance or questions.

2. Accounts and event hosts

You must be 18 or older to hold an account or host an event. Provide accurate account details, keep your password secure and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. If you act for an organisation, you must have authority to do so.

As a host, you are responsible for choosing appropriate album settings, distributing event links and PINs carefully, and explaining to guests who can view and download their photos. Anyone with the event code, including through its QR code or booth link, can open the booth and upload while the event accepts photos. Do not promise guests greater privacy or a different retention period than the service provides.

A child means anyone under 18. Children may use the booth with permission from their parent or guardian and under the direct supervision of a responsible adult. That adult may be a parent, guardian or another adult authorised by the parent or guardian to supervise the child's participation. As a host, you must ensure these arrangements are in place. Permission must cover the child's participation and any uploading and sharing of their photos through the event. QuikBooth does not supervise guests or verify their ages or permissions on your behalf.

3. Permission and ownership

You retain any ownership rights you have in your photos, logos, backgrounds and other uploads. Uploading someone else's work does not give you ownership of it.

Only upload material you own or have permission to use. Before sharing a photo, obtain permission from everyone pictured, including permission from a parent or guardian for any child. That permission must cover uploading the image and making it available through the event's album and download features.

You give us non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to store, process and share your uploads through the event's photo, album and download features, using service providers where needed. This permission is limited to delivering QuikBooth and handling support or removal requests. It lasts only while we hold the content for those purposes, including the retention and deletion processes described in the Privacy Policy.

We will not use your photos for advertising, AI training or promotional material without separate permission from the relevant rights holders and people pictured. A host's agreement to these terms alone is not that permission.

Access to an album does not transfer copyright or give anyone unrestricted permission to republish its photos. Respect the wishes and rights of people pictured when saving or sharing images.

4. Acceptable use

Do not use QuikBooth to:

Report inappropriate content to the host or support@quikbooth.com, with the event link and details needed to locate it.

5. Album access and sharing

Hosts choose the access setting for the album and its individual photos. The host can access photos during the event's download period, and QuikBooth administrators can access retained photos to operate the service and handle support, safety or removal requests.

Album privacy settings apply only to photos and strips collected through the booth. They do not protect event artwork, such as logos and backgrounds, which may be viewed by anyone with its link.

While guest access is available, an open album can be viewed by anyone with its link, and a PIN album requires guests to use the current PIN. Hidden albums are restricted to the host and QuikBooth administrators. These settings also apply to individual photo links, subject to the host and administrator access described above. Guest access ends at the album's expiry, and host access ends at any applicable download deadline.

Hosts can change album settings, including who can see existing photos. Before widening access, make sure you have permission from the people pictured for that wider sharing.

An archive download link can generally be used by anyone who holds it until it expires or is revoked. During a new paid event's host-only download period, the host must sign in to use it. Trial links stop working when the trial expires. Keep these links private. Other people may download or screenshot images. We cannot recall copies saved outside QuikBooth or remove browser caches on devices that already viewed them.

6. Saving, expiry and deletion

QuikBooth provides temporary event storage, not a permanent backup service. Save copies you want to keep before the event's displayed expiry date.

Capture, album access and host download periods follow the offer you accepted. For the launch paid offer, activating the event starts 48 hours of capture, 90 days of guest album access and 120 days of host downloads. Buying or editing an event does not start these periods, and there is no deadline to activate it. For a trial, capture, guest album access and host downloads last 48 hours from the first uploaded strip, with no additional download period.

Check the dates and access information shown for your event. Access ends at the applicable deadline, and photo deletion is scheduled after the download period ends.

If the service permanently closes, the notice, download and refund commitments in section 10 apply. We take reasonable steps to complete scheduled cleanup, but technical problems can delay it. Scheduled deletion is not immediate erasure from every system; the Privacy Policy explains recovery copies and the limits of deletion.

Closing the booth stops new uploads. It does not delete existing photos. Photo expiry does not automatically delete account records or all event information and branding.

Hosts can remove photo sets or delete an event. Removing a photo set also removes that event's download archives and cancels pending builds, so existing archive links stop working. Hosts can request a new archive of the remaining photos. Downloads already in progress and copies already saved cannot be recalled. Guests can request removal through the host or support. We cannot guarantee recovery after stored files have been deleted.

7. Intended use and service availability

QuikBooth is designed for guests to take and share supplementary event photos. It is not a replacement for a dedicated event photographer and is not designed to guarantee capture of particular people, moments or every photo attempted. If your event requires assured photographic coverage, arrange a separate photography or recording option and do not rely on QuikBooth as the sole means of capturing it. This description of intended use does not remove our obligation to provide the agreed service with reasonable care and skill or your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

The booth depends on a compatible device, browser, camera permission and an internet connection for uploads. Test the equipment and connection before your event. A locally saved photo is not proof that an upload has completed.

Uploads and download archives can take time or fail. We will take reasonable care in providing the service, but cannot promise uninterrupted availability or that every device or venue connection will work. Where a fault occurs, contact us so we can investigate. These practical limitations do not remove your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

8. Prices and payments

The total price, currency, included service and any payment conditions are shown before you agree to pay. Any promotion conditions are explained with the offer. Your purchase is governed by the offer you accepted, even if different offers become available later.

Before activation, you may request a full refund of the amount actually paid by emailing support@quikbooth.com, including your event reference. Support processes refunds manually. Do not activate an event for which you are requesting this refund. A free purchase has no amount to refund. Deleting an event does not itself request or process a refund.

We will not impose a new charge on an existing event without your agreement. Any paid offer must state its price and included service before you agree to pay. Nothing in a payment or refund policy limits remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. Consumer rights and responsibility

Australian Consumer Law and other applicable laws may give you guarantees and remedies, including a refund, cancellation, correction of a service problem or compensation in appropriate circumstances. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.

Responsibility for a loss depends on the circumstances and applicable law, including each party's contribution to it.

To the extent permitted by law, our responsibility for loss is reduced to the extent that your actions, misuse of the service or failure to take reasonable steps to avoid or minimise the loss contributed to it.

You are responsible for testing your equipment and connection before an event and saving copies of photos you wish to keep while downloads are available. These responsibilities do not remove our obligation to provide the service with reasonable care and skill or your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

Contact support@quikbooth.com if the service does not work as described. Explain the problem, event code and remedy you are seeking. We will assess the request under applicable law as well as any additional promises made with your purchase.

10. Restricting access and ending use

We may remove content or restrict access where reasonably necessary to address a breach of these terms, protect people or the service, or comply with law. We will limit the action to what is reasonably needed.

Where practical, we will explain the reason and give you an opportunity to respond or correct the problem. Immediate action may be needed for unlawful content, a safety risk or active misuse. You can ask us to review a decision through support. Suspension does not automatically remove any refund or other rights you have.

You can stop using the service at any time and request account deletion through support. We will confirm how the request affects hosted events and explain any records we must retain. Download wanted photos first if appropriate; deletion cannot undo copies already saved by other people.

If we plan to close the service, we will give hosts reasonable advance notice and an opportunity to download available photos before closure. If an urgent legal or security issue prevents advance notice, we will notify hosts as soon as reasonably possible. Closure does not remove rights relating to an unfulfilled paid service.

If we permanently close the service, we will refund the amount paid for unused purchases. Where a paid service has been partly delivered, we will provide a fair refund for the part we cannot deliver, taking account of what was included in the purchase and what was provided. We will explain the refund arrangements to affected hosts. These commitments do not limit any greater refund, compensation or other rights under applicable law. They do not introduce an activation deadline or otherwise change the access arrangements for existing purchases while the service continues.

11. Changes and disputes

We may update these terms for future use of the service. Material changes will be brought to your attention before they apply. We will not use a terms update to reduce an existing paid entitlement or authorise a new use of existing photos without the agreement required for that change.

Please contact support first if you have a dispute so we can try to resolve it. This does not prevent you from contacting a regulator or seeking a legal remedy.

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria and applicable Australian federal law. The courts of Victoria have non-exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any rights you have to bring a matter elsewhere under applicable law.

If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply so far as they can operate independently and lawfully.
